Recently, our Year 10 Geography and Tourism students visited the Sandgate foreshore to collect primary data for their assessment.
Guided by educators from the Brisbane Urban Environmental Education Centre, students explored the impacts of sea level rise on this vulnerable coastal area. Using tools like dumpy levels and detailed field sketches, they gathered valuable data and developed practical solutions for future environmental challenges.
This real-world experience brought the subject to life, deepening their understanding of coastal geography and environmental management.
