Albany Creek State High School offers Programs of Excellence in both the arts and football and in partnership with universities and coaching organisations will provide unique learning opportunities to develop and enhance creative and artistic production, performance skills and knowledge and skills in the sport.

Audition and trial dates for 2025 intake
All year levels
Acceptance to the Arts Excellence Program is based on each student's performance. Students wishing to take part in the selection process for the Arts Excellence Program are required to do face-to-face auditions in addition to their audition which is to be submitted electronically.
Please book for each Audition the student will be attending.
Please note: Program of Excellence Application Forms are to be received by 5.00pm Thursday 30 May 2024.

Program of Excellence Media Arts auditions
Acceptance to the Media Arts Excellence Program is based on each student's submitted application. Students entering Year 7 wishing to take part in the selection process for Media Arts must submit the application.
Program of Excellence Football selection
Selection trials are held during Term 2 for Year 6 primary school students. The trials comprise of small sided games and core skill exercises.
Students are required to attend both Trials , booking into the Trial on Monday 3 June will also register your attendance at the second part of the Trial held on Monday 10 June.

Students applying for Years 8-12 in 2025 should advise the school at time of enrolment and a separate trial can be organised.
Procedure
A place on the program is subject to the students' levels of behaviour and effort, and is reviewed on a semester basis.
For students applying to one of the excellence programs, the expression of interest to the school may be submitted first and the excellence application can be submitted later by the due date on the form, once completed by a nominator.
