Albany Creek State High School is an Independent Public School located 15 kilometres north of Brisbane. The school receives most of its students from the Albany Creek, Albany Hills and Eatons Hill primary schools and has a current enrolment of approx 1600 students. Albany Creek State High School has an enrolment management plan which limits enrolments to within the school's catchment area or students who have gained successful entry into one of the Excellence Programs; Football (soccer), Media Arts, Dance, Visual Arts and  Instrumental Music.

Albany Creek State High School has a reputation for providing a superior learning experience for students from Year 7 to 12. Parents choose this school because of its family orientation, the strong community feel, the emphasis on the curriculum and high standards for students.

The school's vision 'Innovative Thinkers – Successful Learners – Connected Community', guides its focus for curriculum, teaching and learning and works in partnership with its core values; Respect, Responsibility and Resilience which underpin high expectations and standards of student performance across a range of fields including academia, sporting, cultural, leadership and behaviour.

The Albany Creek State High School community takes pride in the fact that students are given every opportunity to achieve or exceed their potential academically, culturally and socially. The school offers a breadth of curriculum to cater for a large number of students targeted at both tertiary and vocational pathways.

The school offers extension programs in English, Mathematics and Science to extend students wishing to enrich their learning from Year 8 onwards and students are given the opportunity to enrol and study at the University of Queensland whilst in Year 12.

We look forward to introducing our new enrichment program – the AC Torch program. The AC Torch program is an exciting project-based learning course available to our 2025 Year 7s. This program is by application only.
