This year, we broke records with 126 Instrumental Music students attending our Kickstart Music Camp. Students and staff kept up a busy pace across a wide range of fun, high energy activities, alongside focused rehearsal time to build skills and prepare our ensembles.
Archie soared to new heights breaking our previous crate stacking record and rose to “King of the Crate Stack” with 15, we are sure he could have stacked more, but he was held back by time restrictions. These collaborative activities allowed our students from year 7-12 to make new friendships and strengthen existing ties.
During rehearsals, students “locked in” and the progress our ensembles made over the two days has really kickstarted our progress for upcoming performances and the statewide “Fanfare” competition in May. The camp traditionally concludes with a “show and share” performance for parents and our peers. A big thank you to the staff, Mrs Coe, Mr Jones, Mr Lefever, Ms Munchow, Ms O’Bryan and Mrs Ruprecht for giving up their time to make this camp happen. Overall, this camp was a huge success, and Mrs Coe has already re-booked for 2027.
