During the recent school holidays a number of our senior Football Excellence students were involved with the National Club Futsal Championships. The boys did themselves proud by reaching the semi-finals against quality opposition. A special highlight was the recognition of Shauyon from Year 12.
Shauyon received the golden gloves award and was selected in the All-Stars team, which recognised his outstanding goalkeeping performance. Shauyon was also selected to go with the squad of 12 Footballers to Spain in September this year, to represent Australia in U17s International Futsal Alliance Cup.
What great recognition for the hard work and commitment shown by Shauyon. Congratulations and well done!

2021 Players' Player of The Year Awards.

We finished off what was a great year for POE - Football with our highly regarded 'Players' Player of The Year' and 'Most Improved Player' awards.

Congratulations go to the following students for deserved recognition from their peers:

Year 7 - Casey English

Year 8 - Ryan Sharma

Year 9 - Liam Meignan

Year 10 - Zane Young

Seniors - Zavier Hardes & Jamie Wolfensperger

Congratulations also goes to Julia Johnson of Year 8 on receiving 'The Most Improved Player' award for 2021.

2021 was certainly a fantastic year for our POE- Football.

Our first year in Queensland Schools Premier League saw AC finish a creditable 5th overall from 13 schools; with our Junior boys finishing in top spot of their division. Next year we will be competing in the top division of SPL and we are relishing the challenge.

Futsal again brought success to AC with 6 of our teams winning championships at the AFA North Brisbane titles in U13, U14, U15, U16 and Open Boys and U13 / 14 Girls.

As in previous years, regional representative teams from AFA Qld Futsal to Metropolitan North School Sport Football included many Albany Creek SHS football excellence students; with a total of 25 across all levels.

These were fantastic achievements and a measure of the hard work, commitment and resilience of all FEP students; characteristics that are the pillars of our program.

We wish to acknowledge the expertise and opportunities that our associate coaching group Football Coaching International brought to the program during 2021 and thank the following for their involvement in our students' development: Paul Edwards, Nick Green, Billy Lumley, Tom Kenny, Jake Goodship, Pouria Nabi and Stuart England.

Finally, thank you to our POE-Football parents for your support and appreciation during the year and we wish everyone a safe and happy holiday.
